About the author:

Townsend Star, June 1, 2011:

Harla Gillespie was born in Williston N. Dakota. She graduated from high school there and later from Whapeton State Collage. She moved to Montana in 1964 and came to Radersburg MT in 1971. She raised five children, two of her own. She began writing poetry in the 1960’s and was published in numerous publications under the name of “Moccasin Tracks.”  She has since published a book about her childhood memories, which became “Tracks on the Prairie” in 2003. “Hidden Tales Well Told” was a seven-year project of information and stories of the Broadwater Co. area, which she felt should be published for people to enjoy. This happened in 2011. Harla and her husband Bill continue to live in Radersburg where she is active in her writing and community projects, her Church, and vegetable and flower gardens.
